They are turning Yuamu into more of a joke character with each passing episode. And before people start to scream I am NOT talking about the duel result. That is absolutely fine and Zwijo needed the win more anyway.

The problem is that as the episodes passes Yuamu’s calm, calculated and clever persona just fades away. It appears to me that the writers were not satisfied with her character that they are changing her.

It was clear in the Rovian episodes that She was feeling out of character and all and It looks like It was because the writers want to change Yuamu into a less genius girl who understands almost everything and make more gags out of her and thus the character changes. They are turning her into more of a joke girl than She originally was

Compared to her original build up in the early episodes, in this episode not only did she not recognize Mitsuko and Zwijo immediately despite the glaring red flags, she also didn't notice the different sticker that Yudias gave her both of which were really easy to see.

Giving this a label like 'sexist' is very disappointing coming from you. It is exactly BECAUSE they give female characters more highlight that the series changed into the garbage it is now. I was hoping you of all the commenters would figure this out. The animators dumbed down the series too much for anybody to understand it, that is one of the issues. But the second is that they are trying to make YuGiOh a card game for ANYBODY to enjoy - and that is absolutely wrong! YuGiOh was a game designed for 'young boys' and older to play, but making it for girls made it lose in quality for its initial target audience. Opposite genders will NEVER like the same things! There should be a separation! Like making a different card game for girls or something, not giving them OUR card game!

Sevens could have be even more trash than It was If not for Romin’s decent enough duel record and Asana’s decent enough character and Romin’s character being reduced to a ramen joke at the second half of the show only took out quality, She should have get meaningful spotlight instead.

As a male myself I have no problem with a girl being strong, It is your personal sexist bias that a show with mainly male audience cannot have strong females. His opinion on girls doesn’t automatically make his opinion null. There is no official rules or anything that says defending girls in a Yugioh anime automatically makes your opinion null. Anyways, Yuga being a shitty Yugioh protagonist doesn’t have to do with girls. He was a terrible MC because he lost half his battles. Which is insane for a Yugioh protagonist. He even lost to Luke in the first season finale duel. Studio Gallop always had their MCs win a season finale duel. But Studio Bridge made their first MC lose. Why? Idk. But I guess it makes him look like a shitty Yugioh protagonist. Which btw, had nothing to do with girls.

In the past, losing meant personal growth for the MC. But here, if the MC loses, its no big deal. They can just duel another time until they win. It’s pretty sad. Btw, the only comment I agree with is, the creators dumbed down the series. It’s quite sad they had to do it, because children don’t have the attention span for master duels. So they had to make things more simpler. Which is another reason why Bridge ruined Yugioh. But the problem here is, they oversimplified duels. All Rush duels in the anime are the same. They’re nothing more than tribute summoning and attacking your opponents stronger monster until someone wins the duel. And that’s just gets real boring, real fast. I can’t believe Rush duels are doing well in Japan
